J'adore Paris.

I haven't wrote a blog post in months, but this is something I feel so passionate about and I need to rant about it to get it off my chest...

Paris attacks.

I try to avoid the news and media as much as possible as all it is, in my opinion, is negativity and biased stories. The news really affects me (as I'm sure it does with many people) so I really do try to avoid it at all costs. This story that has emerged however, was hard to ignore and hard to not hear about, of course, as it is everywhere. TV, radio, Facebook and other social networking sites and where people around me have heard about it themselves and mentioned it to me. There was no running, hiding and digging your head into the sand with this. As soon as I saw a Facebook post about this, I tried to ignore all these #PrayForParis posts and photos. I got into a car the day after the attacks and it was all over the radio. I tried to sleep on the car journey, in order to try and shield myself from this bad news, but I had gathered that something awful had occurred in Paris. When I saw my friend that evening, she began to talk about it and I thought I may as well hear what has happened as there was no escape from it. I may sound like a self-centered and heartless bitch but I did not realize the extent as to what had really happened and I couldn't risk having a panic/anxiety attack that day. I have since researched the terror attacks this morning (3 days after it had happened) to seek the truth.

I cannot lie. I am terrified about what has happened. What is this world is coming to? I can see the Holy War just beginning and I am struck with anger, sadness, terror and heartache.I have cried watching and hearing the news as it unfolds the horrifying stories from Friday night. My anxiety is through the roof! I am learning that this is active not only in Europe but throughout the world. But you don't think about it as you're busy with your daily life, do you? Especially when you do not watch the news. I just don't think about things like this, I try so hard to stay positive, as I suffer with depression and anxiety. This has made me question the future. I have not lost faith or hope in humanity, as the people doing these acts are not human. They surely cannot be, as they do not own a conscience.

My heart and prayers go out to Paris and the other countries and their people that these terrorists are attempting to destroy and plant terror. We must not water their attempts. I cannot begin to fathom what these people are going through. This is the second attack on Paris this year as they killed 6 people in the Charlie Hebdo Newspaper shooting on 7th January 2015, and now have murdered and taunted those in restaurants, bars, a rock concert and outside a football match on the 13th November 2015 killing at least 126 people and injuring around 415.
The bastards that caused this have released a video saying something along the lines of 'whoever is to retaliate will feel their wrath' and I do not think they are being dishonest about this. I genuinely do not know what to do about the situation. I cannot do much for I am just one person. If I had it my way, I would jet every human and animal to another planet to live in peace, love and unity. But of course, it's not as easy as that, is it?

So what can be done? A lot of people online I've seen are writing 'Bomb the whole lot of them', 'Destroy the Islamic States' and 'Close our borders'. If it were that easy, this would have been done a long time ago.

Not only would that not be the way to solve this world issue, you would be as bad as the terrorists, for not only do they occupy these lands, but so do other innocent civilians.
Would you feel better about the situation for killing them all, along with children, women and the elderly? I know I would not feel better at all. I'd feel more at ease to think it's all over like the next person would, but not at the cost of innocent peoples lives. 'But surely they all left and are in other countries as refugees' I hear you say? You need to be a realist and stop being a fantasist if you truly believe this. What if they couldn't escape? When WW1 and WW2 occurred, and people were evacuated, was everyone really evacuated from London? The simple answer is no. So we cannot merely 'destroy the Islamic States' as this will achieve nothing, and we have innocent lives at risk thus striking more terror for them which is honestly not fair nor relevant.
France and the USA have sent 20 missiles over to Syria, and do I agree with this decision? I can't say wholeheartedly that I do, but I completely understand why they have done this. But, I believe this to be the start of something terrifying. War. It's a tough decision to make.

If we close our borders, this would help limit their access from coming over, although the people who genuinely do seek refuge will have nowhere to go. I don't expect the UK to let everyone in, we simply haven't the land large enough to accommodate anyone else, but what people fail to acknowledge is that the terrorists and evil 'masterminds' are among us already. They're walking down our London streets, their living in our bricks and water plotting their attacks from within the UK, and other European countries. It's been released that one of the suicide bombers who detonated the suicide belt outside the French stadium during the friendly match was a French man living in Belgium (forgive me if my facts are wrong about this). But, A FRENCHMAN. Bombing his own country. And for what? Religious reasons? I think not. This is the work of a sadistic group of monsters. They are claiming it is for Allah, and their Muslim faith. This is not the work of Muslims. The Muslims are a peaceful people and the Qur'an teaches similar stories as in the Christian Bible, only phrased in different words. The passages can look harsh but the Bible can seem harsh if looked at in the wrong way too. (I am not religious at all, but I have researched into this)

It's not news to us that we have had British schoolgirls, among other British citizens, dropping out of school and work, to fly to Syria to be a part of the whole ordeal. Brainwashed people. So tell me, how would closing our borders help anything except cause more aggravation? Closing our borders will not deter them from flying over us. Do not forget that London was attacked back in July 2005 (10 years ago) where 52 commuters were murdered, so why would we not have shut them then if this was such a simple solution? And let's never forget the Twin Tower attacks in New York in November 2001. Is this not what stemmed people's hatred towards the Muslims? I hate that people can be so ignorant and racist towards these people. The innocent people who just because their men have a turban, or a beard, or their women are wearing a hijab or burka and happen to be wearing a backpack - they must be a terrorist right? WRONG. Maybe they are commuting to work on the bus you happen to be on, or are going to meet their friends for lunch, or are running down the road to pick their children up from school. Stop this racism, it is disgraceful. It is the same as classing every Christian as a member of the KKK. It's not the truth is it, as these nasty people are EXTREMISTS.

I'd also like to add, even if we kill them, that's the retaliation they want! What will that prove or solve? They want war. And they're blowing themselves up without a care in the world as they believe it will please Allah and they will go to a heaven for the 'sacrifice'. So please tell me how death is a feasible threat to them on our part? They are nothing like you or I. Even torture or any other means of hurt and pain I've heard people saying about doing to them is not a punishment or threat as they are more than happy to die. They are like robots in my opinion. We cannot teach them peace either. This is such a difficult subject to try and solve. Every idea I come up with, I end up knocking it back down within seconds. I do believe we need to build up our army now and stand tall and stand strong with the other countries around the world. We should be ready on standby in case the shit really hits the fan. I really do not want a war ahead of us but enough is enough, and that really looks like the way this is heading.

We cannot, I repeat cannot afford to make the wrong move here. This is a very serious subject and matter that has arose, and it has been around for over a decade. We need to do something, but I do not hold the answers unfortunately. I wish war was not an option, I really do, but it looks like this is the way it is heading as I believe that France have declared war, and that is so unfortunate and tears me up inside. One thing is for sure, we cannot allow them to win.

All I want for Christmas is world peace, and I genuinely mean that.
